| A new adventure attraction has opened in Florida. The rope course has been launched at the Grande Lakes resort and is open to tourists and locals alike at weekends, according to the Orlando Sentinel. Standing at 55 feet the structure could be great fun for those who like to get active on their vacations. It houses a 600-foot-long zipline and a 40 foot giant swing, perfect for those who enjoy heart-racing thrills and spills. Sessions cost from $60 (£40) and those who wish to join in the fun do not need to be guests at the hotel. Those who keep themselves regularly updated with information about Florida may note it is not the first zipline attraction to open in the Sunshine State this summer – the Central Florida Zoo in Sandford opened a ZOOm Air Adventures feature recently. Orlando Sentinel columnist Olivier Petit previewed the ride, which allows visitors to view animals from the tops of trees and cross bridges. The website said users can hit speeds of up to 45 miles per hour on the exhibit. ![]() |
