| Details of the overhaul that is happening at Space Mountain in Walt Disney World may have emerged. The Orlando Sentinel speculates the venerable rollercoaster could be fitted with an electronic-game-filled queue that is akin to the one at Epcot''s Soarin''. Disney officials have been "relatively tight-lipped" about the changes, the publication claimed - with one of the few details released revealing that the 34-year-old attraction would get a new waiting enclosure. "They also have said the renovations will include new track - though the layout will remain the same - and a new ceiling," it added. Space Mountain can be found in Tomorrowland at Magic Kingdom Park and is a rapid rollercoaster-type ride for big kids, teens and adults. The iconic ride is scheduled to re-open on November 21st. Visitors to Magic Kingdom this summer could feast their eyes on the fireworks show right above Cinderella Castle or take a trip on The Magic Carpets of Aladdin to find out about Florida and what its parks have to offer families. ![]() |
