| A brand new ride at Universal Studios Orlando has been previewed in one of the city''s newspapers. While there is no launch date yet announced for the Rip Ride Rockit, the Orlando Sentinel managed to obtain some information about it. Creative director Louis Alfieri said because the coaster is shorter than usual, it can make steeper turns and pivot due to back wheels "like a skateboard". There will be no overhead harnesses and touch screens will be located in the safety bars so riders can pick their own soundtrack. The music on offer will have been selected specifically for the ride. Mr Alfieri added: "The artists gave me the liberty to choose where the songs started and stopped that would be the best experience on the rollercoaster." A cheap holiday in Orlando could be ideal out of summer months, when the Floridian climate is still warm. Most flights to Orlando from bigger UK airports will go direct. ![]() |
