Wednesday 24th Jun 2009 at 12:46
A holiday to Orlando was enjoyed by a high school band recently.

Relayed in the News Leader, students at Nordonia take the trip every four years.

The first day was spent at Disney''s Typhoon Lagoon, while the second involved a special educational challenge.

The band members went to a class about sight reading and were then given some Disney music in a recording studio that they had to master in half an hour before being captured digitally.

Next was the Magic Kingdom where the Nordonia High School musicians rode teacups and experienced the Pirates of the Caribbean.

They then changed into their uniforms to accompany the night time parade down Main Street complete with floats and Disney characters.

Animal Kingdom and Epcot followed, together with a surprise trip to see the Disney Cirque du Soleil show La Nouba. According to the organisers, the event is extremely popular so tickets are best booked well in advance.
