| A host of children are set to enjoy a holiday in Orlando from next month for a week. The youngsters will be going with their parents who have vision problems to the 48th convention of the American Council of the Blind (ACB). While their mums and dads are there to "tend to business", the six to 17-year-olds will be able to enjoy a whole range of activities. As well as pool parties, crafts, miniature golf and film watching, the children will also get the opportunity to have a tour around Disney''s Magic Kingdom. Here, they will be able to explore the sites of Sea World, Wonder Works and the Aquatic Water Park. Mitch Pomerantz, president of the ACB, said the organisation recognises the importance of the family unit, which is why they give their members the option of bringing their offspring. He added the adults "know that they will be properly supervised and entertained by the qualified volunteers of the youth activity centre". Families who are taking a holiday to Orlando might want to check out one of the new attractions – the exotic area in the Busch Gardens Africa called Jungala. The four-acre area includes orang-utan, gibbon and tiger habitats. ![]() |
