| Holidaymakers seeking information about Florida and its major rock gigs could be thrilled to learn Green Day are playing this summer. The pop-punk band are set to hit the stage at the Amway Arena in Orlando on August 5th, with tickets available from a number of online outlets. Billie Joe Armstrong''s group will also perform at the St Pete Times Forum in Tampa on August 3rd and the American Airlines Arena in Miami on August 4th. The shows form part of a sizable US tour, which visits many states and large venues. Formed in 1987, the trio – which also includes bassist Mike Dirnt and Tre Cool on drums - are hitting the road in support of new record 21st Century Breakdown. They are expected to play hits from a number of their albums at the Sunshine State events, such as Warning, Nimrod and American Idiot. Songs such as Know Your Enemy, Minority and Basket Case are expected to get their fans moving at the gigs ![]() |
