| A travel column has suggested a holiday to Florida could be perfect for adrenaline junkies. People planning a fly-drive break to the Sunshine State could follow in the footsteps of News of the World writer Francesca Parker, who recently tried out kite surfing in Key Largo. She described the fun to be had trying your hand at the extreme sport, comparing the sensation of taking to the air to feeling like Mary Poppins. The column saw the commentator recommend local restaurant Snappers, which she claimed had a wide range of tasty seafood. She also highlighted the nearby Hawks Cay Resort as a "great spot to stay". "[It] embodies the Keys'' mantra of kicking back, switching off from the nine-to-five and enjoying life surrounded by turquoise sea and cobalt blue sky," Ms Parker remarked. The Trade Travel Gazette Live recently suggested the region is a great alternative to the theme parks in Orlando. It claimed the area is great for exploring underwater on diving trips. ![]() |
