News Article Florida holidaymakers could mix rock and rides
Thursday 13th Aug 2009 at 17:40
People planning a holiday to Orlando may be interested in an event planned for one of its main attractions next month.

Rock the Universe, a Christian music event, will take place at Universal Studios on September 11th and 12th.

It could be the perfect weekend activity for those who wish to mix listening to tunes with hurtling around on rollercoasters.

Vacationers will be able to watch a variety of performers take to the stage in the evening and try out the best rides the park has to offer between sets.

Acts confirmed to be appearing include Switchfoot, Casting Crowns, Third Day and Hawk Nelson.

The likes of singer Mark Stuart and BMX rider Donny Robinson will also be giving talks at the bash, sharing the secrets of their success.

Local news provider the Orlando Sentinel recently praised a ride based on cartoon family The Simpsons at the park, stating even waiting to board the carriages was fun due to the fact episodes are shown on screens at the side of the queuing area.
