| People who enjoy fine dining but do not always have the funds to indulge their passion may be encouraged to book a holiday to Florida this year. This is because a number of restaurants in the Sunshine State are offering discounted gourmet meals as part of the 2009 Miami Spice event. Happening throughout this month and September, the promotion sees some of the city''s best-known eateries charge $22 (£13) for lunch and $35 for dinner. Those heading to the South Beach area could take advantage of cheap grub at the likes of China Grill, the 660 Mediterranean Kitchen, Smith & Wollensky and Tamara, among many more. Neomi''s Grill in the Northern Beaches regions is also involved in the scheme. Budding chefs may be interested in attending some of the free demonstrations taking place as part of the bash – these are being held on selected dates at the Kitchen at the Cellar branch of Macy''s. Meanwhile, music fans planning a vacation to the city later this year could head to one of its upcoming concerts – The Killers play the American Airlines Arena on October 3rd.  |
