News Article Florida Disney holiday could include lights spectacle
Wednesday 2nd Sep 2009 at 18:03
Vacationers looking to feel extra festive this year could be encouraged to book a cheap flight to Florida this year.

This is because Disney World is holding its annual Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights at its Hollywood Studios area.

It will see the theme park transformed into a sea of twinkling bulbs, which change in time to music.

The history of the event began in the 1990s, when Jennings Osborne from Arkansas began decking his house out with Christmassy neon.

His personal tribute to the season has now grown to be a crucial part of Disney''s celebrations.

Explaining what to expect from this year''s show, organisers said: "The lights are so extensive, at first, it can be hard to comprehend their extravagant magnitude."

Tickets for the show are included in standard admission to the park.

People who keep up to date with information about Florida and Disney World may already be aware that the Magic Kingdom is playing host to a musical extravaganza based on the Lilo and Stitch cartoons this year.ADNFCR-917-ID-19342403-ADNFCR
