Florida 'has top family beaches'

Florida has been named as being a top destination for families thanks to its attractive beaches.
According to the Chicago Tribune, Disney's Vero Beach Resort in Florida is one of the top-ten best beach resorts for families, Dominican Today reports.
The resort placed higher on the list than the tropical destinations of Jamaica and Hawaii.
Meanwhile, according to the Associated Press, in Stephen P Leatherman's list of the top ten beaches in the US, Florida features three times, including in the number one spot, the Orlando Sentinel reports.
"I like that it's natural. The water's just more beautiful here," Kaylee Sturm of the University of Tampa commented.
Mr Leatherman described Florida's Caladesi beach as "idyllic". His list also provides tourists with information about Florida and its beaches.
Caladesi boasts showers, washing facilities and toilets as well as kayak and beach chair rentals and a snack bar.
The beach's low waves also add to its "family-friendly atmosphere"
Mr Leatherman's list is compiled as part of the National Healthy Beaches Campaign.
