Florida holidays are among the best on offer anywhere in the world as far as British tourists are concerned The findings of a recent survey carried out by the travel guide book publisher Lonely Planet have shown that the US is now the most attractive country visited among people in the UK and Ireland. Florida is among the biggest draws for Britons crossing the Atlantic, which is perhaps unsurprising given the long list of tourist attractions, including Walt Disney World, Universal Studios and Sea World. More than 17,000 people were quizzed as part of Lonely Planet's research and the US overtook Australia to claim top spot in this year's list of the UK and Ireland's favourite countries to visit. Apart from the wealth of attractions, more Britons could be tempted by holidays in Florida because of the relative weakness of the US dollar and the strength of the euro against the pound at present.
