Visitors to the International Drive will be soon be able to take advantage of the new ice bar.
Anyone taking a holiday to Florida and the resort of Orlando will find it hard to avoid the International Drive area. At over 14 miles long, the strip runs between many of the city's major theme parks and is home to over 485 stores and designer outlets.
However, from the start of October, the resort will have one more attraction for Florida holiday visitors - a stunning 1,000-square foot Icebar.
The Orlando Sentinel reports that the new bar is the idea of two investors who were inspired by the success of other ice bars in locations across Europe. Patz and Ron Turner hope that the Icebar Orlando will provide a unique atmosphere for tourists wanting to escape the hot Florida sunshine.
Made from 50 tons of ice, the bar will have a Nordic theme and guests will be able to enjoy a vodka drink from frozen ice glasses as part of a 45 minute tour of the attraction.
Before reaching the bar, a trip down International Drive is a great way to learn more about Florida and its many attractions.
The Comfort Inn Universal is a good base at which to plan your daily discoveries.
