A leading holiday expert has been expressing his excitement about the new rides in Florida this year.
Speaking to Newsweek, Robert Niles, editor of ThemeParkInsider.com, advised Florida holiday makers to visit the new Toy Story Midway Mania at Disney's Hollywood Studios and the Simpsons Ride at Universal Studios Florida.
The Simpsons ride, which uses advanced computer graphics, opened in April and has already become a firm favourite with theme park fans taking a holiday in Florida after being named as the best new attraction of 2008 by Mr Niles' website.
Meanwhile, Toy Story Media Mania is inspired by characters from both Pixar Toy Story movies. Visitors wear special 3-D glasses to take part in mini-games while being transported through the ride in a special vehicle.
However, one of the great attractions about Florida is that it is constantly changing the range of facilities on offer to holidaymakers, with theme park designers already working on rides to be launched in the next couple of years.
Future holidays to Florida could include a ride on a Harry Potter rollercoaster and a visit to an attraction based solely on the popular Disney movie Cars.
Disney Area Villas are a great base for families looking to have all of the Orlando attractions close at hand.
