This summer Brits enjoying Florida holidays have the chance to be part of a landmark event taking place in Walt Disney World Resort.
Following the success of recently released films such as Step Up 2: The Streets and the popularity of dance as a form of artistic expression, Walt Disney World Resort is to host the first annual Disney Step Classic.
Taking place at Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex, local high school and college "Step" teams will take each other on on the dance floor.
Step-dancing, also known as stepping or stomping is a percussive style of dance that derives from African and Caribbean dance forms.
Steppers use their bodies to create rhythms and sounds, this can take the form of clapping, speaking, clapping and stamping and is popular among US high school troupes.
Those on holidays in Florida can enjoy pre-event celebrations at Walt Disney World's Disney Park.
