The city of Orlando is fast becoming a destination for adults travelling without children.
Those that may not know about Florida may have an image of rollercoasters, corn dogs and large plastic ears but the resort has so much more to offer, it has been reported.
New research has shown that 54 per cent of adults who take a trip to the city do so without any kids in tow.
The research by D K Shifflet & Associates was published by Time Magazine, which also suggests adults should head straight to sites such as Disney's Animal Kingdom.
Animal Kingdom's Kilimanjaro Safari allows guests taking a holiday in Florida to climb aboard an open-sided safari vehicle and travel across acres of land filled with wild animals.
For time away from the theme parks Time recommends Leu Gardens, a 50-acre botanical garden that is also home to one of Florida' largest outdoor movie screens, to make it an ideal date location.
According to Walt Disney World statistics, Animal Kingdom is its largest theme park spanning over 400 acres.
